Product Description

Melhart's Library System is a very smart way to store music in the music hall while being very durable and strong with a beautiful and pleasing appearance to compliment any music program, to include:

FRAME: The sub frame is constructed from 16 gauge 1" angle steel, 2" flat steel and 2" X 3/16" angle steel. The frame supports the metal V-grooved rear wheels that ride on a steel track mounted on 3/4" plywood. The front wheels ride directly on the floor with the rear wheels on the steel track. This allows the Library shelf to return to the same position every time, and also operates as a stop to keep the System from traveling out of its boundary. Optional locking System and laminate is available.

PANELS: Panels are to be constructed with decorative resin saturated finish, thermally fused under heat and pressure for durability, securely bonded to both sides of the 3/4" industrial particle board. There is no glue to delaminate. All exposed edges to be edge banded with 3 mm PVC Plastic edging for greater durability.

CONSTRUCTION: The shelf panels and the center shelf section are fastened together with 1/4" large head Allen bolts into metal inserts inserted into the adjoining panels. A metal frame in the rear keeps the System from swaying diagonally. The remaining upper and lower shelves are adjustable with removable shelf fasteners at 20mm spacing. The front panel has a large pull handle and an index label holder.

COLORS: The Library System is available in standard colors Almond, Black, Cherry, Maple, or Gray. Custom colors are available.

MEASUREMENTS: The Seven Shelf Unit (#MS-7) is 92" tall, 16" wide, 44" deep, and extends to 80" in the opening position. The clearance between shelves is 10”.

SIDE PANEL: The side panels enclose the Library System. You need only one side panel if the units are in a corner and two if it is open on each side. An optional top panel is also available to enclose the top.

GENERAL: The seven shelf unit (#MS7) stores 259 units of music in 1" boxes.

WARRANTY: Melhart Library Systems have a 10 year warranty against defects in workmanship and material.
